The pre dawn is a time whose hold becomes tenuous. Inside, the house slowly pushes away the darkness, the black stillness which in it’s own way joins the outside in, is peeled away. The shadows cling to the corners but can’t quite hide from early hinting sun. Beautiful, sharp, vertical lines stripe the interior. Cuts and angles afford shadows comfort. The God moment of light happens... Instead of ornate falsehoods the functionality of the space is revealed and celebrated. If any one picture sums up my new house project, it is this shot.
